Only a few families of silversmith in Cambodia perpetuate the tradition of silver plating, which had been listed as Cambodia heritage by UNESCO in 2004. In line with its mission to produce fine Arts & Crafts objects, Artisans Angkor has set up a silver plated workshop in order to demonstrate this know-how and encourage the revival of this Cambodian heritage.
The oldest silver objects discovered in Cambodia can be traced during the Oudong period (XV-XVIth century).Later, precious objects made by silversmith were produced for and used exclusively by aristocracy. The items displayed here can decorate tastefully your home and give it a discreet Cambodian’s touch.
