The Polo Game is a scene of history, frozen in time and printed upon the sandstone. Depicting a stage that comes from the bas-reliefs on the North stairway in the Terrace of the Elephants of Angkor Thom, the piece will certainly help to complement any room.
The scene that is depicted here in sandstone is dated around the time of Jayavarman VII, during his reign. The long scene further helps to depict more people, dressed in traditional garb, evidently two teams playing against one another aiming to win. This is certainly a lively piece that will help to give a little bit of extra energy to a living room or a dining room, depending on your preference. It may even suit the fitting of a conservatory, and can look great during the hot summer days to give the home a bit of a tribal feeling for anyone who wants it.
