Our collection of women’s clothing was handmade with 100% natural fine silk by our artisans working in the workshops in Siem Reap province. Since its creation at the end of 1990s, Artisans Angkor has strived to revive the know-how in silk-making by training new apprentices, in partnership with the National Silk Center (Centre National de la Soie), in the different operations of the thorough silk-making process: silkworm farming, cocoon unreeling, silk thread cleaning, tie-dyeing, and weaving. The traditional handmade weaving provides a brilliant aspect to the finishing of the garments. Any variation in dye lots are inherent and a natural characteristic of hand-woven and hand-dyed silks.
This smooth and light bathrobe was totally handmade in silk organza in our workshops in Cambodia. It exists in two colors (sold separately): Mauve with a touch of charcoal and Charcoal with a touch of mauve.
