Twenty minutes away from Siem Reap, in Puok district, Artisans d’Angkor offers a free guided tour of the workshops to show how silk is traditionally worked in Cambodia. You will see how mulberry trees are grown to provide feed for silkworm raising. You will observe artisans at work, removing the silk thread from the cocoons and working the thread prior to traditional weaving.
The on-site shop enables visitors to discover Artisans d’Angkor collections which showcase the diversity and richness of Cambodian silk fabrics hand-woven by women weavers in Puok and in our rural workshops in the Siem Reap area.
