The Pasteur Institute of Cambodia celebrated its 60th anniversary on March 11th, 2013. During all these years, the Institute has conducted innovative research and has helped improving public health conditions in the Kingdom by dealing with infectious diseases and by developing vocational medical training throughout the country.
For that special occasion, Artisans Angkor was honoured to be requested to carve a sandstone sculpture of Mr. Louis Pasteur, the founder of the Institute. The 81cm-tall bust was unveiled during the
ceremony attended by H.E. Dr. MAM Bun Heng – Cambodian Minister of Health, H.E. Serge MOSTURA –Ambassador of France in Cambodia, and Pr. Vincent Deubel – General Director of the Pasteur Institute in Cambodia.
It was a privilege for Artisans Angkor to be part of the anniversary of this important institution as both of our organizations strive to provide better living conditions and sustainable development to Cambodian people.
